Services - Oil Changes
most important thing you can do for your car. Change the oil. Change the oil. CHANGE THE OIL!
How often varies from car to car. Back when quick lube operations started up it became fashionable to recommend changes every 3000 miles even though most vehicle manufacturers recommended around 5000. Either is fine as long as you’re consistent, but make the error on the side of more often.
Look at it this way: keep a car 5 years, drive 1000 miles monthly, change it every 3000 and you’ll do 20 oil changes at around $30.00 each (unless you’re a V.I.P.) and you’ll spend $600.00; change it every 5000 and you’ll do 12 oil changes and spend $360.00. Now, the difference of $240.00 is a few dollars, but it only amounts to $4.00 a month over those fives years. That’s small dollars compared to the cost of a new motor. You decide.
Be sure to check your air filter every time you change your oil; dirty and clogged air filters are a major drain on your fuel economy. Add a good injector treatment with every oil change (we use Lucas) to keep your very expensive fuel injectors maintained and providing the proper ga oline flow. And every 5 or 10 changes use a good chemical to flush the sludge from your motor (Heartland used here).
We use a variety of top petroleum products. We inventory Valvoline in bulk to service the biggest percentage of cars, but also use Castrol, Shell, and Mobil One products for specialty and synthetic operations.
And, if you haven’t been to our V.I.P. page, check it out, because we can ave you money.
